STARPECO, a locally registered and owned firm is making a remarkable growth and diversification in her two new businesses namely bitumen and security products.
The firm which in this year 2013/14 Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies survey conducted by KPMG ranked 11th is currently in the final stages of installing ultra-modern bitumen emulsion processing plant and working towards introducing modern inspection and security technologies in the country.
“We are on course in our business diversification strategy in which we are seeking to maintain our share as a top quality bitumen supplier in the local market, have significant involvement in processing of bitumen and its allied products and get hand in airports, sea ports and key building entrance and exit safety by supplying top quality non-intrusive inspection security systems (scanners).” explained STARPECO Managing Director, Gratian Nshekanabo, whose firm given its high degree of trustworthy to its clients, is registered as a United Nations’ supplier of petroleum products, supplier of Bitumen to the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and supplier of lubricants and lubricants testing services (OSA) to the Government institutions in Tanzania mainland under framework contract.
Starpeco is a Limited company registered in Tanzania under Companies Act 2002 on 9th October 2006 with a certificate of Incorporation No. 57901.
The company’s offices are located on Plot No. 107 and 108 Kipawa Industrial Area, along Nyerere Road near Omar Packaging sharing the same compound with The Fine Wood Works Ltd workshops, approximately 10 Kilometers South of Dar es Salaam City or 2 kilometers east of Mwl. The targeted products are chemicals like; water treatment chemicals, pesticides and insecticides on one hand and on the other hand engineering products are; heavy machinery spares for industries and locomotive, sea going vessels and specialised engineering tools.

Mr. Gratian B. Nshekanabo
Co – founder and Managing Director of Starpeco Limited. Mr. Nshekanabo holds a Post Graduate Qualification in Import Management, Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Diploma in Accountancy and Business Administration. He attended several courses on Lubrication technology and has many years experience in petroleum products.
Starpeco Limited has 17 permanent staff, five of them with professional qualifications or degree holders.
